The Movies of Stephen Chow Sing-chi

Don't listen to the critics...Sing Jai's movies are FUN!!! Don't always expect the continuity police to be on the set and be prepared for a man who will do almost anything for a laugh. Especially if he and Tat So get started.

  • *All's Well that Ends well
Ok Ok my favorite part is Sing Jai in his underpants.... and trying to shove himself into Maggie Cheung's jeans (but they were a bit long...)
  • * All For the Winner
Precursor to GOG2. Sing Jai in shorts. Sing Jai in a Tux. Sing Jai as the naif from the mainland.
  • *All's Well That Ends Well 97
Not enough of Sing Jai. Hey I wanted to _see_ them taking those nude exploitation pictures! I think he enjoys playing the head injury case a bit too much.
  • * Chinese Odyssey Part One: Pandora's Box
WOW. The journey to the West is one of my favorite stories and I can only think of one other person who could touch him in this role...He and Ng Man tat are excellent foils for one another. The costumes are beautiful and Sing Jai should always be in gauze...or a paper bow tie.
  • * Chinese Odyssey Part Two: Cinderella
Sigh. I keep crying through the last half of the movie...
  • *Curry and Pepper
Sing Jai and Jacky Cheung Hok Yau are a riot together. They bring annoying to new levels. Just like Starsky and Hutch only funny.
  • Dragon Fight
Trash talking with Jet Li. He is so young and so cute that I can hardly stand it.
  • Faithfully Yours
with Max Mok, and Jacky Cheung. Like 3 naughty kids left to torment a pregnant Cheung Man. Hilarious.
  • * Fight Back to School
Oooh in a school uniform. My head almost blew up. I particularly enjoyed the teachers throwing erasers at him. And the condom as gum...
  • * Fight Back to School II
Again in the uniform...sigh. The Bart Simpson mask was cute. Tat So as the Terminator was entirely too funny.
  • * Fight Back to School III
Sing Jai and Mui Yim fong...oooh boy. I almost hurt myself when he swallowed the evidence at the crime scene. Very cute banter with Wong Chow san. If I were Mui Yim Fong he would not have lasted as long as he did...
  • * From Beijing With Love
Very cute Bond spoof. I love the running spitting gag about mainlanders. The butcher Wing knife was great.
  • God of Cookery
For some reason this strikes me as a typical day in the life of Chow Sing chi thinly disguised... It dragged a bit in spots but the Shaolin Golden men and the end were a scream.
  • *God Of Gamblers II
This was the clincher for me. Sing Jai is in top form as the fast talking, faceless, wise ass. And I think he's cuter in a tux than Andy Lau Tak wah. The toilet plunger nunchucks were a riot.
  • *Hail the Judge
Sing Jai is lovely in these period pieces. I would love to know how they convinced him to wear that huge bow on his head and how he kept a straight face when the Circus Leader tried to kiss him. The verbal showdown in the brothel alone is worth the price of the movie .
  • He Who Chases After the Wind
  • *Justice my Foot
Again with Mui Yim fong. They are very funny together. The platform shoe bit is hysterical and the period costumes are lovely. Just Heroes
Not a starring role, but he and Chen Quan Tai make a lovely couple. Everyone was in this Chang Cheh / John Woo brotherfest.
  • *King of Beggars
    Beggar So story
  • Lawyer Lawyer
The pigs tongue was the last straw. I literally choked with laughter. Well worth it in my mind for the little gauze outfit. Then he gets the outfit wet...tasty. Again he is the trash talkin lawyer.
  • * Love on Delivery
Sweet in the Ga Fei Mau outfit.
  • Lucky Guy
The entrance with the flying newspapers, birds and wind was hilarious. I nearly fainted when he stuck his tongue out of the paper bag. Again I would have PAID BIG to see him in the little red underpants...
  • Lung Fung Restaurant
Max Mok and Stephen chasing girls. I bought it just for the scene in the massage parlor...
  • *Mad Monk
One version of Beggar So's life.
  • The Magnificent Scoundrels
Stephen and Teresa Mo wreak havoc.
  • *My Hero
Sing Jai looks lovely in his gangster clothes. The best parts are the farting Sauna and Sing Jai in the tub wearing only the washcloth.
  • Royal Tramp
Sing Jai looks soo cute in that storytellers outfit. That Tiger hat is my favorite!
  • * Royal Tramp 2
I simply can not (ok I can) believe they did the magic powder sequence. I also can not believe Bridgette Lin did it with a straight face. Sing Jai was adorable in the little Tiger outfit.
  • *Sleazy Dizzy
  • *Thief of Time
A weird little movie from Shaw...I mean TVB. Cameos and bits from past soap operas woven into a movie. Its really cute. I would have loved to see that historical that Sing Jai was in. The clips at the end show actual clips of the old stuff. Cute.
  • *Triad Story
My vcd won't play the first disk but...He was REEEEEAAAAAALLLLLYYYY young in this. Not even his own voice on the soundtrack... It was a nice dramatic thing for him as the son of a gang boss who was trying to keep Sing Jai out of the triads.
  • * Tricky Brains
Andy Lau and Stephen. Stephen is trying to swindle Andy's family. The opera scene is a riot. Tat So and Stephen doing aerobics was almost too much for me.
  • *Unmatchable Match
Sing Jai as an undercover cop named cockroach. Very tasty in those 80's clothes. The curls are cute.
  • *When Fortune Smiles
Sing Jai is very young in this. Excellent dress clothes, in that over the top 80's way. I'm particularly fond of the scene where he is supposed to be stealing the will but finds the neck massage machine instead.
  • *God of Gamblers 3 - Back to Shanghai
  • *Sixty Million Dollar Man
and many others...
